The Angora is a cat breed that was developed in Turkey and was the result of a cross between a reddish-brown Abyssinian and a chocolate-masked, light brown Siamese. Turkish Angoras are one of the oldest natural cat breeds, originating from central Anatolia. The breed has been documented as early as the 17th century.
