CLASSIC STAMPS: France
In 1869 France issued its first large-sized stamp. It was a 5 Franc stamp depicting Emperor Napoleon III in the middle and 5 F to the left and the right of the portrait. The stamp has been printed in three types according to the number of cross-lines from the top to the bottom of the big 5 (11, 12 or 13 cross-lines). Todays stamp is a beautuful mint copy.
