CLASSIC STAMPS: Monaco
In 1923 five stamps were issued depicting a portrait of the new prince Louis II of Monaco. Louis II (1870-1949) was Prince of Monaco from 27 June 1922 to 9 May 1949. He was in a relationship with Marie Juliette Louvet, who was the mother of his only child, Princess Charlotte. Todays stamp is a mint copy of the 50 Cent issue. CV is less than 1 €.
