On July 1 in 1851, a ten-cent stamp with the portrait of George Washington (1732-1799) was issued. The stamp exists in five types. Todays stamp is a Type III where the side designs are complete, the top line broken and the bottom-line shells are partly cut away. The catalog value is approx. 5.000 $.
