From 1919 until 1. July 1922 the rate for sending a letter in Germany increased from 15 pfennig (pf) to 300 pf (3 Mark). You could frank your letter with two copies of the stamp shown. This stamp was issued in 1920 and show the National Post Office in Berlin (Reichspostamt Berlin).
