Stamp Stories from around the world

OST-SACHSEN: Beautiful letter from 1945 with so-called “Postmeistertrennungen” (Postmaster perforation). These stamps were used in the town of Loschwitz in the Soviet Zone Ost-Sachsen just after WW2. The stamps were issued imperforate, but the postmasters in the different towns tried to make it easier to separate the stamps by rouletting or perforating the sheets.
